Orange and La Poste have combined efforts to dig the best deals for their employees, resulting in a database of more than 20,000 SKUs.
The challenge for this particular e-Commerce platform was the set up of custom shipping price rules. Each product can be purchased in 2 different ways: the standard way or the comfort way (express delivery).
However, a "comfort" delivery fee for a fridge does not involve the same charges than a "comfort" delivery fee for a notebook. And on top of that, users can choose to purchase standard products and comfort products at the same time, in the same cart. Therefore, a classic delivery base fare or even a percentage of the cart value would not have worked for this particular system.
Since each product has two unique prices, each product is repeated twice in the database and considered as a single reference; one with the standard delivery fee and the other one with the comfort delivery fee.
Last, knowing the audience's age and the fact that a majority of these users might not be particularly tech savvy, we've adapted the User Interface and made navigation easy to understand and to go through.
