Client: ALT
ALT Ltd is a HK based trading company founded in 2006. They act as a sourcing and trading firm, with a strong supply-chain expertise in a whole range of electronic, electrical and related supplies: lighting, cables, electrical fittings, cable ends, power supplies, tools, etc. They contacted IT Consultis to design and develop a new company website on Drupal 7. The main goal of this website was to be able to easily navigate, find products and request a quotation for some of their 1000+ products.

With 1000+ products and a complex enquiry system, the main challenge was to upload all these products directly on the website to save days of manual uploading on the client's side. We synchronised their CSV database with Drupal 7 to do so. Each product was composed of the following elements: name, model, images, category, sub-category packaging (6 characteristics), specification (8 to 10 characteristics) and related products.
From a main template, we directly pushed all the products on the website, with the following result:

In term of design, the main challenge was to propose a nice and light graphic chart that would achieve a sexy and airy feeling even if the content are non sexy products. To achieve this we proposed using flat design and slideshows with full width banners.
It was also really important to maintain a fluid navigation in order to keep the website visitors on the site all throughout their long navigation through ALT products. For this, we implemented a floating navigation side bar, action buttons, top and button navigation and option to choose the number of products on display at any one time.
Results
With their new website, ALT is now able to attract, qualify and convert clients online. The platform we delivered will be a crucial part of the lead generation efforts online in support of their offline process. As you can see on their testimony, ALT is very satisfied with the platform we developed and trusted IT Consultis to design their full catalogue as well.
